WHAT WE DO
The dynamic and complex nature of the global economy, together with embedded power imbalances, creates a challenging and constantly moving target for human rights protection. Recognizing the magnitude of the global economy impacts on rights protection and the limits of any single-field approach, the SAGE Fund advances a new, broader systems-focused frame on human rights and global economy and intentionally works cross-movement in response. We achieve this through:
Cultivating, investing in and scaling new approaches and field capacity to strengthen accountability for powerful economic actors;
Reaching a different level of the field that centers affected communities, workers and peoples, primarily in the Global South, to lead and drive strategy development with a wide range of allies and achieve greater impact; and
Providing thought leadership and a vehicle for expanding the knowledge and reach of donors supporting human rights in the global economy.
